Kim and Jimmy were referred to us by LuAnn at Verbena Floral Design, one of our favorite florists here in Austin. At our initial consultation with Kim, she expressed how shy she was and that taking pictures was definitely not her favorite thing. We have heard that from many clients over the years, but they all seem to find that taking pictures with us is a lot less painful and actually way more fun than they were expecting. Not surprisingly, that’s exactly how Kim and Jimmy felt after their super fun engagement session with us on the Hill of Life hiking trail. They are both avid runners, so the trail was the perfect place to document their relationship. Speaking of hiking, Sweet Treets Bakery did an unbelievable job with Jimmy’s groom’s cake. It was a replica of him hiking through the trees! I was blown away by the gorgeous wildflower floral arrangements by Verbena Floral Design that were just bursting with color. They were the perfect compliment to the perfect October day in Texas. The wedding day was going smoothly until the ceremony was delayed because of a tardy officiant, but we were amazed by how graciously the bride and groom handled it. The groom joined the guests for an early cocktail hour, and the ceremony was on its way as soon as the judge arrived. The ceremony itself was so sweet and so heartfelt, I think more than a few guests were brought to tears. Afterwards, the guests were treated to what the Salt Lick does best, a fabulous Texas barbeque feast. Then they got in a bit of dancing with Live Oak DJ. I think you’ll agree that the flower girls stole the show!
