Sara and Devan found us online from out of town and were so excited about having us photograph their wedding, they booked us over the phone. On a beautiful day in February, they took their vows to each other at Vintage Villas overlooking Lake Travis. It was such a special ceremony to Devan’s family as the pastor had officiated at both his brothers’ weddings. Sara didn’t just look like a princess on her wedding day; she looked like a queen! Queen Elizabeth to be exact. Her red hair and piercing blue eyes were perfectly complemented by her pale pink ruffled gown and delicate veil. I loved taking these regal images of her in the bride’s room. Travis explored her more fun loving side as he took pictures of her and her gals on the grounds of the venue. The bridesmaids’ coral dresses were set of perfectly by the exquisite bouquets from Verbena Floral Design. We always love doing weddings with Greenbelt DJ. We usually work with Joel, but this time we had the pleasure of working with Anthony, who totally rocked the house! Even the Blues Brothers made an appearance. They were actually Sara and Devan’s fathers, but Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi would have been proud. The real hit of the night was the groom’s cake by Simon Lee, a replica of a port-a-potty from the company that Devan works for. Devan cut it in half and proclaimed that they were saving the top for their anniversary. These exit shots have to be some of my favorite ever. I don’t think they carried out enough booze!
