We first met with April and Bruce in San Antonio while we were there for a bridal portrait at the mission. They were the first couple referred to us by their friends, Joy and Clyde, whose wedding we did last June.
April and Bruce are such a sweet couple. They’ve had a lot of challenges in their lives, especially physical ones. Bruce is a disabled veteran, and April suffered a stroke as a small child. But they have dealt with everything with such grace. I respect that so much. I always try to tell my kids that you can’t control what happens in your life, but you can control your attitude. I think April and Bruce exemplify that.
April had the same amazing hair and makeup team she had for her bridal portrait. Karen Wible did her hair and Maris Malone Calderon did her makeup.
The ceremony and reception were at Kindred Oaks. We had the pleasure of working with Donna Aleman of Amesoeur Events for the the first time. She a fabulous job of keeping everything running smoothly. The flowers by Bouquets of Austin were beautiful as usual. We’re done several weddings with them before, but I finally got a chance to meet Stephanie personally and really enjoyed chatting with her and she put the arbor together.
