I woke up at 4 a.m. Central Time and drove to the airport with Christina. We hopped a nonstop flight to LAX where we picked up our rental car and started driving. We drove to Canon USA in Orange County to drop off a camera for repair and then began the 90 mile drive through LA towards todays wedding in Temecula. We stopped off at the first In-N-Out Burger we found and shared a really tasty Double Double before getting to Temecula at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
John and Alison really had fine taste in food and wine. They decided to have a wedding in Temecula though one of them lived in Palmdale, Calif. and the other in Redondo Beach. Because of their love of fine tastes and had their wedding at Ponte Winery just West of Temecula, a small city southeast of Los Angeles in an incredibly beautiful valley. After a short ceremony heard by the brides ailing father over a cell phone from Dallas, Texas the couple joined their guests and we served one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Dancing and fun followed until the end when the bride and grooms left at 10 p.m. Pacific Time.
We were invited to the after party at the Pechanga Casino, Temecula’s Vegas sized resort casino where we stayed until 2 a.m. chatting and drinking. 2 a.m. Pacific Time…….4 a.m. Central Time. 24 hours never went so fast. We slept in, drove back to LAX, flew home at midnight and slept a whole lot more. What a great wedding!
