This wedding was a dream: two of the sweetest people, one of our favorite wedding venues, and beautiful weather! Add in a romantic portrait session on the UT campus, and you have a perfect wedding. Heather and Josh tied the knot at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs Mansion this July. We felt so blessed to be a party of their day. There were so many sweet moments like Heather and Josh praying around the door of the bride’s room, the shy little flower girl telling Heather a secret, and Heather looking at her dad just before they walked down the aisle. We definitely can’t forget all the groomsmen trying to watch the World Cup game on the big screen at the sports bar across the street by looking out the window. In the middle of the ceremony, a great wind arose and rustled through the trees. It was as if God Himself came to bless their marriage. After all the family formal portraits, the couple arranged for a friend to drive us all to the UT campus for an extended romantic portrait session of the bride and groom. So cool! We wish every couple planned this into their wedding day schedule. Then we were whisked back to the reception to where the guests dined on Pappa’s Catering and danced to the tunes of Greenbelt DJ. Heather looked simply flawless all night long thanks to Texas Dela Rosa who did her makeup and her cousin, Cynthia, who did her hair. We loved the special touches that Fancy Florals and Kayla Knight Cakes put into the flowers and cake. Boy did that burnt orange pop! We wish Heather and Josh many years of watching Longhorn games together!
