They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day. Well, it poured on Kris and Kali’s wedding day! Miraculously, the skies cleared up before the ceremony with a brilliant rainbow to boot. Their wedding at Villa Antonia ended up being absolutely fabulous from the heartfelt ceremony to the revelry on the dance floor. With stunning makeup from Shannon of Beauty by Shannon and fabulous hair by Thelma with Divaz Fabula, Kali looked like a million bucks. As the wedding gift of the century, her exquisite, one of a kind dress was lovingly designed by her amazingly talented brother. She looked so unbelievably gorgeous at her bridal session, and they were both adorable during their engagement session. I could not get over how luxurious Kali’s cascading bouquet was with dazzling white stargazer lilies, orchids, and calla lilies. The Gala Gal completed the luxurious look by adding a pop of color to the bridesmaids’ bouquets with delicate orange orchids. Their ceremony, officiated by Loralei of Starbuck Weddings, was just so touching and so beautiful. It was indescribably moving and one of the most memorable ceremonies I have been blessed to witness. Most weddings couples barely get to eat on their wedding day, but Kris and Kali arranged a private dining time so they could relax and enjoy the sumptuous feast prepared by Chef Jonathan with Creative Creations Catering. I have seen a lot of groom’s cakes in my ten years as a wedding photographer, but Kris’ groom’s cake from Classic Cakes by Lori really takes the cake! It was a five point star castle with a tower and a moat filled with chocolate ganache. Each point of the star was a different flavor of cake, and there were rice crispy treats, bananas, strawberries, apples, pretzels, and pineapple to dip in the moat. This cake was happily devoured by the guests! Then it was on to the dance floor where I don’t think the bride sat out one dance. She and her gals had the moves like Jagger! Thanks to Sean with ATX DJ, they danced all night. Can’t wait to see the wedding film by 2nd Generation!
