Joy and Kevin had already been married three times to each other by the time we had gotten around to their engagement portraits on Ladybird Lake. As I understand it they got married in a civil ceremony, then they went to Thailand and got married again there then they came back to the Barr Mansion in April of 2010 and got married again. I photographed the Barr Mansion wedding and today we were going to shoot their engagement session. I’m not certain if they had any more weddings between their Barr Mansion wedding and today but that is apparently a story to be told another time. The couple had requested to shoot on Ladybird Lake down the jogging trail from the frigid Barton Springs swimming pool so we trekked around shooting in places I hadn’t been in years. We ended up at the Long Center when we were all done and shot some more fun pictures there. It was lovely!
