It was pretty warm in June when we shot Carey’s bridal out in Granger, Texas. It was my second time visiting Granger and it is quite an interesting town with a considerable amount of heritage, charm and great places to shoot. I’ve been told that train tracks crossed in this tiny almost abandoned town north of Austin and it was thriving at the turn of the century because of this. Now it is a wasteland of barely kept up buildings overgrown with weeds and ivy but all of this is what we call ‘charm’ in the business of making great images. We started out at the Cotton Club then made our way down the main street shooting at different locations along the way. At the end of the shoot we drove out to a dry and thirsty cornfield to close. These are some of my favorite bridals in the last several years! I love the intensity from Carey.
