We’d had the best time getting to know Nathalie and Omar at their fabulous engagement session. It rained just a very wee bit, but they didn’t mind, and we got some great shots. Then during Nathalie’s bridal session, it was 47 degrees cold. Once again, Nathalie handled the weather with such grace. Her mom was on hand to wrap her up in a nice, warm coat between shots, and the pictures turned out just beautifully. We took it for granted that the bad weather was behind us all. Well, on the day of their wedding, it was even colder with misting rain and a nice wind chill to boot! Thankfully, they were getting married inside at their church, and their reception was going to be held at the Creekside, which offers a spacious indoor venue. The only issue was where we would take the all important portraits of the bride and groom and wedding party. We were able to take a few pictures outside of the couple at the beautiful stone overlook, but it was truly too cold to do anymore. As guests started to fill the reception hall, we had to scramble to find the space to do more pictures, especially of the wedding party. But after moving a few tables and utilizing some creative lighting setups, we were able to take some fabulous pictures. You can’t control the weather on your wedding, but hiring a professional wedding photographer who knows how to adapt to any situation means that you will still get beautiful pictures!
We just loved Nathalie’s peacock wedding theme, from the stunningly colorful eye makeup, to the multi-colored bridesmaids’ dresses, to the peacock feather boutonnieres. Even the tapestry at their church had peacock on it! The gals at Rouge Beauty Studio did an amazing job with Nathalie’s hair and makeup, just like they did for her bridal session. Their friends and family were so happy to see Nathalie and Omar get married. They celebrated and danced all night!
