I tend to wander around a little to here and there and there this month was in Oregon second shooting for a friend of mine in my old stomping grounds. My friend’s Jeremy and Coral shoot weddings mostly in the Northwest and are truly Southern Oregon’s best kept secret. Coral is a crazy photographic genius who makes things look astounding and I am always happy to jump in on a wedding as a second, or in this instance third shooter, because she is educational to watch. Jeremy is a technician taught by Coral to shoot and he shoots some pretty amazing stuff too.
The subject at todays wedding was Lindsay, a school teacher from Portland, ore. and Mike a cherrry farmer the The Dalles, Ore. and they got married at Voorhies Mansion at Eden Valley Orchards in Medford, Ore., a place famous for it pears. I used to live up the highway about 40-miles in a town famous for nothing, Grants Pass, Ore., though I’m sure they would contend otherwise as they have more meth labs and meth head tweakers than any other town I’ve heard of.
Their wedding was quite beautiful and at one of the fanciest places in the Medford areas to have a wedding. The Voorhies Mansion had fabulous grounds. I’ve been away for so long that I am not familiar with the vendors anymore out there, but the food was good and the cake looked pretty much awesome.
It’s always fun to be the second photographer on a wedding because the burden of getting the shot because no one else can is lifted and a little bit more creativity flows. Shooting with Coral and Jeremy is always a treat!
The Voorhies Mansion looks like it might be needing a new roof some time soon.
This is Jeremy and Coral doing what they do best. Plus they are wonderful friends who I do not get to see enough.
