Using adjectives to describe our portraits is like using adjectives to describe a chocolate cake. No words can describe it. You have to dig in and experience it yourself. We shoot portraits of you and you make them unique. Our portfolio showcases people being alive, excited, enjoying life, enjoying each other and most of all expressing zeal for the experience. And they look good doing it. They are eating the chocolate cake and the cake is good.

Rebel With a Camera started in 2006 when the dreary Oregon overcast grey winters became too long and oppressive and Travis and his family moved to Austin, Texas to see more of the sun. The sun overstayed its welcome in Austin and after-16 years Travis decided to take a break from the sun during the summers enjoying San Francisco’s cool climate shooting senior, engagement and bridal portraits away from the hot months in Texas.

I have one picture from my ‘senior portrait’ session which was shot for the yearbook by the local studio photographer in the small Southern Oregon town I grew up in. That one picture is the only professional picture I have from that era of my life. There was no personality or individuality. It was a picture that looked like everyone else’s and while it a preserved memory, did not show anything about me except that I liked hats from the 40s. As a senior portrait photographer I strive to capture a lot more than what was captured of me as a high school senior.

It’s more than just your yearly school yearbook photo. It is so much more.

Travis is a rebel, indeed. He does what few can accomplish. He went out of his way to capture both Senior high school images and family groupings, in the most creative way, working around traffic, weather and deteriorating light. We were blown away with all the images!

We had an amazing experience working with Travis! We got professional headshots done for work, and after talking further we ended up doing a fantasy/steampunk shoot and he was so accommodating (my profile picture is actually from the shoot!) His attention to detail and flexibility with us on both shoots made both experiences comfortable and seamless! Because of this we look forward to the next time we get to work together. These photographers have done such great work for us, we keep coming back for more! My sister’s wedding- gorgeous. My daughter’s homecoming- fun and reflects her personality. My fat 10lb baby boy’s newborn photos- breathtakingly precious. My own fun dress-up session was a blast. They even had the patience to do an 11- member extended family photo shoot complete with a cat and a hen! We cannot get enough of their photographic style.

These guys are THE BEST! They did an absolutely unbelievable job for my brother’s wedding! I wish I had used them for my own wedding! I was so impressed with them, that I recently had them do a photo shoot for our family business for some future advertising. Travis offered some fresh, out of the box ideas that were just fantastic! Fantastic to work with. One of my favorite things about Travis and Christina is they work so well together. You get 2 photographers and you don’t have to worry about who the 2nd photographer might be the day of your event. We used their services for our engagement & wedding photos. They also have a good sense of humor which is great because after all the family pictures it was hard to keep the real smiles on. I couldn’t decide which photos to use for our wedding album and they designed a beautiful one for us :)

We chose Rebel with a Camera for our engagement and wedding pictures and were so appreciative of their work. Though our wedding was years ago, we still have many of their pictures framed and displayed throughout our home because they artistically captured the beauty and the emotions of our wedding. As many brides know, the actual wedding day flies by. What I loved about their photography is that Travis and Christina focused on all the wonderful details that happened throughout the day, which allowed me to view those precious details and moments that I wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. Their photographs are dynamic, creative, beautiful, and most of all fun. They are easy to work with, flexible, and very stealth as they are taking pictures which allowed them to capture many candid moments. We used Rebel With a Camera for our wedding in April 2012 and LOVED the pictures they captured for us. Travis and Christina are great to work with! I went into our consultation convinced that I didn’t need a wedding book, but after seeing theirs, I was blown away and had to have one! The quality of the materials they use to print their work on is amazing. We ordered several engagement and wedding day pictures from them, and look forward to working with them again in the future.
